Baita 1697 is a spacious 17th century Piedmontese farmhouse restored to a luxurious standard - an authentic, charming summer retreat just outside the Italian alpine resort of Sestriere. The chalet features a generous 450m² of interior space and can host up to 12 adults and 6 children across its six inviting bedrooms. For a perfect summer holiday in Sestriere, the chalet also has its own garden, alongside some great outdoor areas.

The main living areas of Baita 1697 occupy its ground floor level. The chalet's living room will enchant you with its traditional stone features and domed ceilings. Intimate lighting, an open fireplace and comfortable sofas, that match the colour of the exposed stone, provide an inviting spot to relax in the lounge. The dining area can be found on a level a few steps above the lounge. This alcove dining space features a square wooden table for 12 adults, with fluffy white throws, a cowhide rug and the soft glow of candlelight. A sleek white kitchen sits just off the lounge, containing all you would need for any meal preparations, with a wine cellar attached. On the top floor of Baita 1697, a secondary lounge relaxation area can be found. This space enjoys a fireplace of its own, and is characterised by exposed wooden beams and floors in contrast to the uncovered stone of the ground floor.

Leading off from this relaxation space on the top floor, Baita 1697 features a rooftop terrace. Guests can enjoy views of the mountains, covered by woodland, across the traditional rooftops of the hamlet of Pattemouche. Relax on this terrace late into the night with an outdoor cedar wood hot tub and open fireplace providing a blanket of comfort and warmth. The chalet also benefits from a private garden area, complete with a dining table that lets you dine alfresco on the grassy lawn.

Baita 1697 has a functional TV lounge on its first floor, with board games and toys, a great space for a quiet evening at the chalet.

Baita 1697 houses five double bedrooms and one children's dormitory, sleeping up to 12 adults and 6 children overall. The bedrooms are all uniquely designed, although with a typical snug mountain lodge feel owing to lower, sloping ceiling and rustic wooden beams. The beds are modern and comforting, and every bedroom enjoys use of an en-suite bath or shower room. A children's dormitory features six single beds, whilst two extra adult guests can be accommodated in the TV lounge.

The chalet comes with laundry facilities and space for bike storage.

Prices are based on the exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 adults and 6 children (under 6yrs) and is offered on a fully catered basis with selected complimentary wines. There is a maximum adult occupancy of 12 adults.

Baita 1697 can also be taken on a self-catered basis for up to 18 guests to include daily housekeeping service.
