Located in the tranquil resort of Chatel, Grange au Merle was beautifully renovated from an original farmhouse into a luxury chalet, representing the perfect accommodation for a luxury summer holiday in France. Accommodating up to 15 guests, the property is enhanced by a classic wooden interior design, giving the ultimate alpine retreat atmosphere.

Large floor to ceiling windows welcome you to the first floor of the chalet, where an open-plan living area results in the perfect place to put your feet up and relax whilst admiring the stunning mountain background. A comfortable seating area with a wood burning fireplace creates a cosy setting for those chillier evenings in, ideal to socialise with your group and relax with a glass of wine.

On the other side of the living area a classy dining table, suitable for 10 people, awaits you for sociable meal times with a stunning alpine backdrop, ideal to catch up with one another after a long day of hiking in Châtel. Nearby, a modern fully-equipped kitchen will allow the cook of the group to put on the chef's hat and prepare homemade meals, while having fun and enjoying some quality time with the whole group. For additional convenience, a separate 'chef's table' is positioned behind the kitchen, resulting ideal for a family travelling with children who wish to have their meals early.

Stepping outside, through the large patio doors, you will find the spacious wrap-around balcony. Take advantage of the south-facing spot to enjoy long days of sunshine while admiring the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and village. Alternatively, make use of the outdoor furniture in the chalet's terrace and enjoy alfresco meals during the warmer months of the season.

After a full day of activities in the Portes du Soleil, there is nothing better than coming back to the Grange au Merle's wellness facilities, to make sure you recharge yourself in style. Whether it is relaxing in the outdoor hot tub with a glass of Champagne, or soaking your muscles in the luxurious sauna after a massage session, the property gives you all you need to maintain your peak physical activity. While for the little ones there is plenty of space where to have fun in the sun in the alpine playhouse 'Crystal de Neige', situated in the chalet's private garden, or play games in the evening in the TV snug area. For those late nights, sip a cocktail from the bar area or discover the different wines from Grange au Merle's private cellar.

The alpine design is followed throughout the ground floor, in the 5 spacious luxurious double bedrooms, all complete with their own en-suite bathrooms or shower rooms. The chalet's original style is kept, communicating a feeling of authenticity and comfort, to guarantee a good night of sleep. All the rooms are also completed with their own en-suite bathrooms and shower room, as well as having direct access to the wrap-around balcony, perfect for an alfresco coffee in the morning. The only difference is for Le Grenier room, which is located on the mezzanine level and has direct access to the TV snug area and games room. Finally, the Grange au Merle could be ideal for a family looking to spend their luxury summer holiday in Châtel, as it includes a bunk bedroom sleeping two children, as well as a small sofa which can be turned into a bed suitable for a small child.

For extra convenience, the property provides a bike and boot storage where you can leave your sports equipment ready for the next day of hiking or cycling in Châtel. Also, laundry facilities are present, wheatear it would be needed. For guests arriving with their own vehicle, a private garage suitable for two cars is located behind the property.

The price is for exclusive use of the chalet on a self-catered basis.
