The Property

Making up one of the chalets in Hameau des Plan, Chalet Alaska is one of the most luxurious chalets in Chamonix. Across three floors, there is space to sleep up to 13 people at full capacity.

As with the other chalets in the Hameau des Plan, Chalet Alaska's living area is located on the middle floor ensuring guests benefit from the fantastic mountain views. This space is surrounded by wooden beams and high vaulted ceilings, keeping with the traditional alpine charm. Located in the centre of the room is the fireplace, which separates the kitchen/dining area and the cosy lounge on the other side of the chalet. The large balcony can be accessed from either area and is the perfect space for alfresco dining.

Following through from the lounge area is a large wooden dining table and bench seats - the perfect spot for everyone to come together to enjoy a delicious meal. Just behind this space is the kitchen, which happens to be bright and airy thanks to the multiple windows letting the light flood in. The central island within the kitchen is a brilliant space for socialising whilst dinner is cooking.

Chalet Alaska has a large terrace at the back of the chalet. Here there are a selection of sun loungers and a cedar hot tub, situated in the perfect spot for making the most of the warmer weather. At the front of the chalet, connected by a wrap-around balcony, there is an alfresco dining area. Guests also have access to another terrace on the lower ground floor, which has panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

For those who would rather relax inside, then there is a separate TV area just off the living room. If needed, this space can be converted into a bedroom as there are sliding doors for sound proofing and privacy. It also enjoys an en-suite.

Chalet Alaska has 5 bedrooms and can sleep up to 13 people6 adults and 7 children. The ground floor consists of three en-suite double bedrooms and an en-suite bunk bedroom sleeping up to 4 people. The fifth bedroom is a mezzanine room with 3 beds and en-suite shower room. The skylight windows are a great feature to this room. Each bedroom also contains air condition which is ideal in the height of summer.

For convenience, there is an elevator for access between each of the floors.

Chalet Alaska can be taken with Chalet Azurite and Chalet Saphir to create Le Hameau des Plans, with space to sleep up to 41 guests.

Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 13 guests and is offered on a self catered basis with daily housekeeping.

When fully catered, prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for 10 guests and is offered with full gourmet catering, complimentary drinks selection and daily housekeeping. Smaller group discounts apply and additional guests are charged as extra.
