Alps Events in June

5th – 8th June | UCI Mountain Bike World Cup 🚵♀️
The Mountain Bike World Cup series is an event in the Alps not to be missed for anyone. From racers aiming to win on home soil to loud crowd noise, it’s certainly an exciting atmosphere to be in! Spectate as the experts traverse the mountains, tackle tricky ascents, and hurtle downhill at speeds you wouldn’t dream of reaching. Featuring a number of bike races in the Alps, the World Cup series encompasses resorts such as Leogang (5th-8th June) and the Haute-Savoie region (21st -31st August) on its tour this year. 26th – 28th | Arlberg Classic Car Rally 🏎
For the classic car enthusiasts among you, the Arlberg Classic Car Rally is the perfect summer event in the Alps. With 3 routes covering 600km and crossing stunning alpine landscapes, it’s no surprise that this car rally in Austria is one of the popular historic car races. From Jaguars to early BMW models, Bentley to VW Beetles, you simply can’t beat watching undeniably beautiful classic cars sprinting around beautiful mountain settings. Watch the video from 2023.

27th – 29th | Pass’portes du Soleil 🚵♀️
Spread across 8 resorts and 2 countries, Pass’portes du Soleil kicks off summer with a 3-day mountain bike event for all abilities. On offer are 80km of MTB tracks, 720m uphill and nearly 6,000m downhill, all served by 13 lifts. In addition to the mountain bike trails, there are also dedicated gravel, e-powered and kids routes. As well as the riding, there is plenty going on over the weekend to get involved in; the Mountain Bike Show and many food stations serving up some spectacular local cuisine are just a few honourable mentions! Alps Events in July

4th – 6th | Spartan Race, Morzine 🥇
The Spartan Race in Morzine is surely one of the top summer events in the Alps to spectate. Various heats cover distances between 5 and 50km and involve challenging terrain and obstacles along the way. Endurance and strength are a must for this one! 4th – 19th | Montreux Jazz Festival 🎷
Under an hour away from Châtel and just over an hour from Verbier, this jazz festival is a perfect summer’s day out by the lake, with live jazz music creating a magical ambiance. Montreux Jazz Festival is located on Lake Geneva (or Lac Leman), with a mountain backdrop; you simply couldn’t get a better setting. Watch the video.

5th | Gornergrat Zermatt Marathon 🥇
The Gornergrat Zermatt Marathon is one of the most demanding and challenging marathons in the Alps. From St. Niklaus up to the Riffelberg at Gornergrat, it’s a challenging 42km route for the fittest of the fit. Covering the deepest valley in Switzerland and over 1,800m of altitude, this marathon is sure to live up to expectations.

5th – 27th | Tour de France 🚲
You are surely familiar with one of the most famous events in France, the Tour de France. If so, you may know that one of the most challenging stages is the Alpine stage. The riders are put through gruelling ascents and cols, separating the better from the best. For 2025, a section of the route rides between Montpellier and Valence, steering near to some of our sister brands’ luxury villas in Provence. Want to see the most challenging routes on the tour? The 18th stage finishes atop Col de la Loze, which is easily accessed from Méribel.

16th July – 3rd August | Verbier Festival 🎵
An international classical music event that takes place each summer in one of the most popular summer resorts in the Alps, Verbier. Expect a variety of classical music performed by masters of the art, and rising talent. Verbier Music Festival was launched in 1994 and still attracts visitors from across the globe to this day. 22nd – 27th | Cosmo Jazz Festival, Chamonix 🎷
Spread across the Chamonix valley in various mountain locations, the Cosmo Jazz Festival involves an eclectic mix of music from talented musicians. The festival is completely free and can be enjoyed from the heights of the Aiguille du Midi, to down in the town for Cham Jam sessions in the evenings. 3rd – 10th | Lech Classical Festival 🎻
Where music meets culture in a beautiful mountain setting. One of the highlight events in Lech, the Classical Festival rings around the mountains and valleys in rhythms and beats created by talented orchestras, musicians, and soloists from around the world. 24th – 30th | Haute Route, Megève 🚲
The Haute Route events in the Alps encompass some of the most beautiful mountain landscapes you can view on two wheels. Featuring a number of mountain road cycling routes this year, the route takes in legendary passes, steep alpine road inclines, traditional villages, and stunning valley floors. It starts in Megève and spans an incredible 800km to finish in Nice. On this, cyclists will also pass through a myriad of summer mountain resorts, including Tignes and the Serre Chevalier valley. Despite being a challenging cycle in the Alps, participants are sure to thoroughly enjoy each route, with plenty of breathtaking scenery along the way. Watch a teaser here.

25th – 31st | Ultra Trail Mont Blanc, Chamonix 🥇
Widely recognised as one of the toughest foot races in Europe, the UTMB is no mean feat. From start to finish, insanely fit athletes cross a whopping 176km and reach a total elevation gain of 9,963m, pushing physical and mental limits like nothing else. 28th – 31st | Omega European Masters, Crans Montana ⛳
Next up on the list of the top Alps summer events is one of the most prestigious and popular golf events in Europe. Held at the Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club in Crans-Montana since 1939, this event has witnessed history being made on many occasions. For those who enjoy a golf holiday in the Alps, the Omega European Masters is the perfect opportunity to learn from the real pros.

30th | Matterhorn Eagle Cup, Zermatt ⛳
At the foot of the Matterhorn, you’d struggle to find a more scenic golf event in the Alps. The Swiss Alps certainly make it hard to look away, but the Matterhorn Eagle Cup makes a compelling call! Precision is key at this event in Zermatt, as shots are taken between 1,400 and 2,800m on challenging terrain. The Matterhorn Eagle Cup is not one to be missed.

31st | Megeve Mont-Blanc Cyclosportive 🚲
This cycling event in the Alps is growing in popularity year-on-year. Participants at Megève Mont Blanc Cyclosportive can decide between 3 different tests in the 2025 edition, including a 80km, 120km, and 140km option to suit all riders! Starting and finishing in Megève, you will be sure to encounter some spectacular scenery along each route, such as views of Mont-Blanc and surroundings of the Beaufortain massif itself.

4th – 6th | Mont Blanc Rally, Morzine 🏎
Finally, we end with our bonus Alps event in September. An event in Morzine that has taken place for over 20 years, the Mont Blanc Rally attracts visitors from all over France, and indeed the rest of Europe. Watch how the rally drivers drift around tight alpine bends and churn up dirt tracks at full speeds, in a race to the finish line.
