It’s January and I don’t know about you, but I am dreaming of sunnier days (in more ways than one) and spending time exploring the mountains in the summer. There is a particular resort prominent in my daydreams and that would be the luxury mountain resort of Verbier. Having been lucky enough to visit a couple of summers ago, I was blown away by this magnificent, popular Swiss resort. And its south-facing orientation means there is plenty of opportunity to soak up the sunshine! Arguably as popular in the summer as it is in the winter, Verbier offers a wealth of mountain activities, luxurious experiences and some of the best luxury summer chalets in Switzerland. Let me paint the picture of what you can expect from a luxury summer holiday in Verbier…
About Verbier
Verbier is set on a south-facing plateau, with stunning views reaching down the sun-kissed green valley that echoes with a hazy hum of jingling cow bells, summer bird song and a faint whiz of mountain bikes as they speed on down the hills. Whilst there is a relaxing peacefulness, Verbier is a hub of summer mountain activity and alpine culture, evident in the energy throughout the resort centre. With plenty of hiking and biking trails as well as more extreme mountain activities such as via ferrata and paragliding, you will have earned your time soaking up the sunshine with a nice cold beverage at one of Verbier’s bars or your luxury chalet’s private terrace.
As Verbier is an easy transfer from Geneva International Airport, plenty of guests holiday in Verbier for a just week or weekend; but it’s also popular with visitors who prefer to stay for a few weeks or even the whole summer season. There are a couple of well regarded summer camps and international schools, where the children can participate in a unique and valuable learning experience, whilst the parents enjoy a change of scenery, working from home in one of Verbier’s best summer chalets. Then out of hours, you can enjoy some quality family time ticking off your own Verbier bucket list!

Or of course, diving straight into the hot tub, also with a glass of Champagne, and feeling your whole body enter relax-mode.
