Omega European Masters | 29.08.19 – 01.09.19
Located in the heart of the Swiss Alps in Crans Montana, the Omega European Masters is one of the most prestigious golf competitions played on European Soil.
In August 2019, we will see the 73rd edition be held on the iconic Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club course. After the Englishman, Matthew Fitzpatrick was the first back to back winner of the masters for 40 years (2017 and 2018 champion) and there will be lots of spectators keen to see who will win this prestigious tournament and take the title!
Tour de France Stage 19 & 20 | 26.07.19 – 27.07.19
The Tour de France will take to new heights this summer with the 2 penultimate stages heading to the Alps this year. On Friday 26th July the race will climb its way up to Tignes, ending with a 7.4km long incline at 7% from Lac Chevril up to Tignes resort.
On the Saturday, the final leg of the race will take place from Albertville to the highest resort in the French Alps, Val Thorens (2,365m). This route is sure to add a bit of excitement and challenge to the tour and will pass through the popular ski resorts of St Martin de Belleville and Les Menuires. Being the 3rd climb of the tour over 2,000m, it is nothing we have seen before. Can the yellow jersey hold on or will it be stolen at the very last moment?
Verbier Festival | 18.07.19 – 03.08.19
For 17 days this summer, the hills will be alive with the sound of music in Verbier. With concerts running day and night, you will have the chance to see some of the biggest names in classical music today!
This will be the 26th edition of the annual event and it is sure not to disappoint. Among the performers and orchestras of the Verbier Music Festival, you will have the opportunity to see astounding renditions from the likes of Karita Mattila, Matthias Goerne and Thomas Hampson, who all in their own right are operatic superstars!
Jumping International de Verbier | 15.08.19 – 25.08.19
2019 sees the 21st Edition of the Jumping International de Verbier. Come and see some of the best Swiss and European riders as well as novices take on this renowned show jumping event.
Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc | 26.08.19 – 01.09.19
The UTMB is a single-stage mountain ultramarathon that offers a week long festival based around Chamonix in France. The event will see almost 10,000 runners participate in one of the events 7 races.
Cosmo Jazz Festival Chamonix | 20.07.19 – 28.07.19
Crowds will head to Chamonix in July for the Cosmo Jazz Festival, which is one of Chamonix’s highlight events of the summer. All concerts are free and are set across various sites in the valley, giving these incredible musicians the most amazing backdrops.
Mont-Blanc Rally – Morzine | 05.09.19 – 07.09.19
The Mont-Blanc Rally is part of the French Automobile Championships. spread over 3 days, drivers battle it out on the mountain roads in Morzine and Avoriaz to be the best.
Gornergrat Zermatt Marathon | 06.07.19
The Gornergrat Zermatt Marathon is one of the most iconic running events in the Alps. Racers start in St Niklaus (1,116m) and finish in Zermatt, covering over 42km and 1,469m of altitude. For the brave (and extremely fit), they can continue up to the top of the Gornergrat at 3,089m!
Arlberg Classic Car Rally | 27.06.19 – 30.06.19
For the 10th edition, the Arlberg classic car rally returns to Lech Zürs am Arlberg this June. The breathtaking route covers around 600km and sees vintage cars and classic car fans turn out in their numbers.
Montreux Jazz Festival | 28.06.19 – 13.07.19
The Montreux Jazz Festival is one of the biggest festivals in the Alps and sees around 15,000 spectators head to Montreux in the Swiss Alps. On 29th June 2019 the festival will even be joined by performances from the music legend, Sir Elton John!
